DJs tend to get a bad rap. Earlier this year, in fact, TikToker Madeline Argy famously asked what it is DJs actually do, and in response, some DJs remixed her video into their set. So, I guess that’s their answer, and proof that DJs do actually do something.

Unfortunately, that isn’t the case for all DJs. One DJ, Stevie P, has taken it upon himself to use TikTok to call out fake DJs, and some of these performances have to be seen to be believed.

One video shows a guy standing behind a screen and dancing to the music with literally zero equipment in sight. Stevie P captioned the video, “No decks, no problem. The fakery continues.” Naturally, the video prompted users to repeat Argy’s question from earlier this year: What do DJs actually do? In this guy’s case, the answer is simply “vibe.”

In his most viral video calling out fake DJs, a woman can be seen randomly mashing buttons and turning knobs despite her machinations having no effect on the music being played whatsoever. Several commenters pointed out that she didn’t seem to know when her own drop was about to hit, and that even once it hit, it was incredibly disappointing. As one commenter put it, “DJs press play and pretend their whole set.”

In another video, the “DJ” can be seen pumping one arm in the air while tapping a table with the other in what he clearly thinks is an attempt at looking like he’s actually DJing.

Hey, they can’t all be winners like David Guetta.
